How we verify listings

Every barber school on Barber School Finder starts from public business data (name, address, phone, hours), then goes through these steps:

1. We read each place's own website to record details like barber license program, type of school, and programs. An AI model does the first pass and must quote the page it relied on; if the website doesn't say, we leave the detail blank rather than guess.
2. Answers the model isn't sure about go to a person for review before they appear.
3. We remove places that are permanently closed, and show the date each listing was last checked.

We list schools whose websites describe a program that prepares students for a state barber license, including cosmetology-to-barber crossover programs. Barbershops that only take apprentices, and beauty schools without a barber program, aren't included.
